Concentrations
For my
concentrations I want to do pieces that are simplistic but also photorealistic.
I really like the work of Glennz and other similar artists, because the use
simple vectors to create simple, but real images. I plan to do portrait style
work. I also geometric patterns, so I will be exploring and synthesizing these
two concepts.
My final product will be twelve
prints. They will be varied in color and identical in size. From an design
point of view, my only strengths are color choice and object placement… I don’t
have much technical skill and my pen skills are mediocre at best.
With these pieces, I will be
challenging my image creation skill, meaning that I will be working on my pen
and paintbrush skill. Additionally I
will be making more complex shapes than I am used to, so it will be an
all-round learning experience.
In terms of due
dates, I will be aiming to complete a rough draft by every Wednesday, and a
final draft every Saturday. I will submit a draft to be reviewed every week.
As far as
materials go, all I should need is a printer and color ink and paper; normal
graphic design stuff. If you know of any other things I should know, or
consider, please let me know.
